The beach is like a second home. Surf early in the morning. Dry out in the sun during the day. And sit in my chair with my toes in the sand as I stare into the distant sea. Coastland is my attempt to capture this state of mind as a minimalist abstract seascape painting. The gesso provides rich texture and the multiple layers of soft whites, warm sandy colors and a crisp line of blue, will almost let you taste the salt in the air.
